Emirates Stadium

Capacity: 60,432

Located on Ashburton Grove, Holloway, North London, The Emirates Stadium is Arsenal`s relatively new 60,000+ all seater stadium. They moved their for the start of the 2006-07 season from their historic home at Highbury.

The actual stadium is located besides the main train line in to Kings Cross Station and is also easily accessible from several Tube Stations, such as Holloway Road, Arsenal, Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington lines. The stadium is just a short walk from these stations, approx 10mins.

Parking on match days is quite difficult and I would suggest parking up at a Tube Station and getting the underground to the stadium.

Prices for food and drink within the stadium are quite pricey so I would suggest trying one of the many pubs around the stadium on the Holloway Road or Seven Sisters Road areas.

Away Fans:

Visiting supporters are housed in the South East corner, lower tier and the normal allocation is around 3,000 tickets but can be more for any cup games.

You will also have the luxury of padded seats, as well as plenty of leg room although on the downside the view isn`t great and nowhere near as good as the upper tiers.

Entering the ground you have to insert your ticket in to a ticket reader rather than handing over your ticket to a `real person`. This is now becoming more common, remember Colchester?

Inside the ground the actual concourse is not as spacious as you would expect for a stadium of this size. With a good selection of food the negative side is the price, around £6 for fish and chips! Alcohol is avaliable, as well as betting and large flat screen TV`s on the walls of the concourse.

Drinking Guide:

Away supporters usually use the Drayton Arms  situated very close to Arsenal Tube Station and Drayton Park train station. It is just a few minutes walk from the Emirates Stadium.

One recommended pub is the Twelve Pins near Finsbury Park Tube Station which is usually a mix of both Home and Away supporters and is a 10min walk from the stadium. Just across the road is The Blackstock pub and Away fans are also welcome in there too.

How to get there
From the M1, leave the M1 at Junction 2 and onto the A1, following the signs for City (Central London). Continue on the A1 for around 6 miles, until you see Holloway Road Tube Station on your right hand side. Take the next left at the traffic lights into Hornsey Road and the Emirates Stadium is about a 1/4 of a mile further down Hornsey Road.
There is very little parking around The Emirates Stadium.

Unless you have a good knowledge of the streets around the Emirates then it really isn't worth trying to find some street parking. Football fans on matchdays are easy pickings for the traffic wardens, who do work on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

An extensive residents only parking scheme operates 1.5 miles around the stadium on matchdays, so my advice would be to park further out of London around a tube station and get the tube to the ground.
